Summary: Chris Thurston & boys in North Atlantic in winter
Full Report:
Inshore waters 55 Degrees. It will get colder. Gulfstream 74 degrees. We wanted to vertical jig for blackfin tuna. Best area was drifting along the 50 fathom curve starting at the 250 line. We caught Amberjack, Albacore, and a few blackfins. We switched to trolling and caught several more blackfins. The 230 Rock was loaded with albacore. We cut some Albacore filets and tossed them out with a ballon float. We hooked up in minutes. We caught and released 5 large 150-250 lb sandbar or Bull sharks. Heavy strong fish. All released alive. All in all we had lots of action and an enjoyable day. Bryan Taylor, the mate did a fine job.

We caught another Wahoo and a Dolphin. An occasional Yellowfin was caught in our area. Weather remained calm. Bryan Taylor was the mate. I enjoyed the company and a day on the water.
