"Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing it is not fish they are after". Thoreau

Good numbers of Bluefin Tuna on the 230 Rocks. Give us a call.

"Big Easy" was completed in 1998 at Briggs boatyard in Wanchese, North Carolina. It was built large and strong to fish the waters off Cape Hatteras in safety and comfort. She has twin engines for "get you home safety". The boat is heated and airconditioned.

ANGLER PARTICIPATION ENCOURAGED I want to involve the angler in all aspects of the trip. Too often on charter boats the angler justs reels in the hooked fish. You will get more out of your trip the more you are involved. We will teach you to rig baits, drop back, hook fish, drive the boat etc. Bring a favorite rod and reel. We want this to be a memorable trip.

Cliff's Fishing Report

Feb. 28, 2010 -
A little windy. Cold on the bridge. Everyone caught a bluefin. We brought back a 65 inch fish. 165 lbs. Thorougly enjoyable weekend.
Feb. 20, 2010 -
A gorgeous day. Bluefins on the 300 line at 200 fathoms and the 280 line at 100 fathoms. We caught them trolling and on jigs. Jigs were more difficult.
Nov. 7, 2009 -
Absolutely perfect weather day. We trolled for tunas and got up tp the 270 line. We caught albacore and 3 nice dolphin. We decided to go for Kings and found them in 150 feet around the 180 line. Once you found a mark they bit readily but bait should be deep. I had the privilege of meeting Jerry. A visually challenged man who has specialized in overcoming obstacles in life that few of us have faced.
Oct. 22, 2009 -
Bagby Electric took its customers fishing. They wanted to catch yellowfins. We headed up the way and put in about the 420 line and fished up to the 550 line. We were late for the tuna bite. Long run. We caught dolphin along the weed lines and occasional albacore. It became apparent the tuna weren't biting. We ran back to the area of the Smell Wreck and caught some Kings.
Oct. 6, 2009 -
SE wind. Wahoos were caught but scattered. A few boats had great catches while many of us struggled. Dolphins were caught close to sargassum. Water temp 81 degrees. Has dropped a degree in last several weeks.
